Republicans Eye McCain's Millions in Excess '08 Funds

With money tight and the economy uncertain, everyone wants to know where big money from politicians will go. Everyone wants money to go to their favorite organization or their company. Now everyone wants to know where John McCain's extra money will go. McCain used 7.5 million in his victory of the Arizona Republican Primary. But there is still a lot of money left over, about 17 million left as of June 30th. McCain had to submit a post-election audit because he participated in public financing program. McCain’s fund was known as McCain-Palin Compliance Fund Inc. Many people think that he should give the money to the National Republican Congressional Committee and National Republican Senatorial Committee.
This topic has a lot to do with the government because money and politicians have a lot to do with it. I think that the money should be used for a good cause like charity or even to help the Republican Party to help get more republics in office. This is a hard decision because so many are in need of help.

  1. I totally agree with Katie that the surplus money should be put to good use. Like a charity, maybe one that is used to help with the debt relief of families in which the main source of income, one or both of the parents, was laid of. This could in turn sway the public's opinion of the republican party and thus lead to more votes.

  2. Do you think the government should impose some sort of law regulating the distribution of unused funds from campaigns?
