Mohamed Osman Mohamud, a 19 year old teenager in Portland plotted to blow up a van with bombs in it at a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. The bombs were fake, supplied by the FBI. The teen dialed a number on his cell phone to explode the bombs but really just called the FBI and police, who came rushing to him. The FBI was given a tip about it and so was able to get in on it. He had been think and planning this since he was 15 years old. Mohamed Osman Mohamud could get life in prison for attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.
I am so glad the FBI was in on this and was able to stop it from happening. This guy could have killed so many people like he wanted to. Terrorism is a big problem in our country and needs to be stopped.

Let the crowd he threatened loose on him. That'd be a sight, haha. Anyways, i'm happy the kid was arrested and hopefully he realizes how insane the whole terrorism towards america thing is. I mean, we can and will kill any person that threatens us enough. This kid was just lucky he was in america because if he said that to a troop in iraq, the kid would be pushing up daisies, haha
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing the FBI was in on it and he got arrested. Terrorism is getting so crazy these days in America and it definitely needs to stop. I think it's insane how many threats the United States gets. Thank goodness, we actually do something about it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a relief to know that the FBI is keeping an eye out for terrorist plots. Terrorism needs to stop and the government needs to be prepared for another event like 9/11. I don't know what this guy was thinking but at least he was stopped before he did something serious.
