Va man charged in fake bomb plot against DC subway

A bomb plot was being planned by a Pakistani-born man in Virginia and he was arrested on Wednesday. He was arrested for trying to bomb the metro system around Washington D.C. The man was going to use a rolling suitcase to care the bomb and try to kill as many people as he could. He wanted to also donate money to al-Qaiada. The FBI says that people were not in danger and that they knew about this man. The man thought that government workers were al-Qaiada operatives. The man was arrested and charged with multiple bomb and terrorist charges.
I think it is so good that the FBI caught on early to this. This could have been a really bad situation if the FBI did not catch on. Many people could have been killed. I think it is horrible that someone would want to kill people for no reason, People who did nothing to hurt him. I think it is good that we are watching out for terrorist and not ignoring it.

Palin gives strong indication of 2012 presidential run

It looks like Sarah Palin will be running for President in the 2012 presidential election. Palin was governor of Alaska and left midway through her term to run for vice president with John McCain. Sarah Palin and her family have been bashed more then most people in politics. Sarah Palin is 45 with 5 kids. She has written a book about her life and now has a TV show about her.
I think Sarah Palin should run for president. I think she would make a great president. It would be so cool to have our first women president. She has gone through so much with the media and not given up or lashed back. She would be strong and have good ideas for America. I think we should give she a chance and see what she has to offer. I think Sarah Palin is so brave to go after being president even though all the criticism she has gotten.

Tests warned of cement troubles before BP blowout

BP's blowout of their oil well, causing an oil spill, is being investigated. The blowout of the well caused 11 deaths and the biggest oil spill in US history. The cement used to seal the well is being investigated. A foam slurry created by injecting nitrogen into cement was used for the well. Some people have disagreed with this choose. An e-mail sent to BP by Halliburton stated that the cement could fail. Test show that the cement was flawed. Many are blaming the design of the well and BP’s decision not to run a test to make sure the cement was set properly as well as the cement.
I think it a shame this happened. I think that when a company could potently be dangerous and could hurt many people, actions need to be done to keep those bad things from happening. Is a serious matter, there is great danger from this. I think we can learn a lot from this event. I think oil wells need to have stricter laws to keep the wells from exploding. We can’t walk away from this without changing something so it will not happen again.

72,000 stimulus payments went to dead people

What is the government doing with our tax money? 22.3 million dollars from the stimulus payments just went to dead people or people who were in prison. 18 million dollars went to people who were dead and 4.3 million dollars went to people who were in prison. A little over half of the money given to dead people or people in prison were returned. The stimulus payments went to people to try to increase
consumer spending. In all 52 million people received a stimulus payment of 250 dollars.
This is a lot of money we are talking about, about 13 billion dollars to be exact. The government should be more careful when they are giving out money. They should have spent more time going over reports and checking. It makes me nerves to trust them with my money.
